PATCH Expiry Date Extension

When PATCH first launched in Europe it came with only 12 months expiry date as this was all the regulator allowed as PATCH was a new product with never seen before techniques for packaging of sterilised plasters.  This is an incredibly short timeframe given wholesalers often buy in bulk for 12+ months, that our early days were a real struggle to get into market.

As a natural first-aid brand, we understand the significance of adhering to expiry dates to ensure the safety and efficacy of medical supplies. After careful consideration and collaboration with experts in the field, we initiated an extensive testing process to evaluate the quality and integrity of the PATCH bandage strips approaching their original expiry date. The testing involved various critical parameters, including sterility, adhesive strength, and overall product performance. I am pleased to report that the results of the testing exceeded our expectations, providing strong evidence that the PATCH bandage strips maintain their quality and efficacy even after the original expiry date.
Our findings can be summarised as follows:

1. Sterility Assurance: The independent laboratory tests confirmed that the bandage strips remained sterile, free from any microbial contamination or compromise that could pose a risk to patients’ health.

2. Adhesive Strength: The adhesive properties of the bandage strips were evaluated extensively. The results demonstrated that the adhesive remained intact and secure, enabling proper wound healing and support.

3. Product Performance: The overall performance of the PATCH bandage strips, including flexibility, comfort, and breathability, was assessed. The tests concluded that the strips performed exceptionally well and met the same high standards as those within the original expiry period.

Based on these comprehensive and conclusive testing results, we are confident in granting an expiry extension for the stock outlined below. It is essential to note that our decision is rooted in our unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
